There is a range of statistical information below that may be useful for you. BMLLEN ENVIRONMENTAL SCAN: 2006 Census data
A detailed report of the activities of the 15 - 19 year age group has been developed using the 2006 census data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics. Important background data relating to the community is also included. The data is available for the Local Government areas of Brimbank and Melton, and the percentages are available to compare with those for the Western Metropolitan region (as well as for Victoria in some cases). Socio Economic indicators by LGA and Postcode are included in the data. NB. Whilst all care has been taken to ensure the percentage calculations are accurate we cannot accept responsibility for the misuse or misinterpretation of data. Should there be any queries, please contact the BMLLEN office. For comparative purposes we are leaving the last Environmental scan on
the website. An Excel spreadsheet was been prepared by the B/M LLEN from
the 2001 Census data to highlight data for 15 -19 and 20 - 24 yr.

Select the Census from the main navigation (left-hand column), then under the heading 2001 Census Products & Services, select 2001 Census Products. From the list of options in the Basic Community Profiles & Snapshots, select Main Areas by Name. Then select the area you wish to find out about. You can choose Local Government Area or all of Victoria. Local Government Data Do you want to know statistics relating to population, ethnicity, household and dwellings, residential land development and property prices, the local labour force, income, transport, other local government data?

These tell only part of the story of each school, so please read the accompanying comments as well examining the data.

It is important that you note the comments in the cells with the headings, as they explain what is shown in each column. To see the comments pass the cursor over the little flag in the top corner of the cell. These figures should be read in conjunction with the destination data produced by 'On Track'.
Academic data (VCE,VET,VCAL) plus On Track Statistics for Brimbank and Melton Schools The following table is a combination of data published in December in newspapers - showing numbers and completion rates for VCE, VET and VCAL students- and the 'On Track' destinations for the same students (published in June the following year). i.e. The 2009 Year 12 students had their academic results published December 2009, and where they have gone to after leaving school was published in June 2010. The data shows how the outcomes have changed in each school over the years shown.
