Planning Your Future
It is essential that no young person leaves school without good information
about the options for their future life. It is highly desirable that the
exiting student has completed a Pathways Plan with appropriate assistance.
The sources of assistance are:
1. The Careers Teacher/MIPs Teacher (MIPs=Managing Individual Pathways)
2. The Youth Pathways Worker (replacing the Jobs Pathways Program)
Youth Pathways is a free service that helps young people (13-19) make the transition
from school to work. From the start of 2006 the service concentrates on
those young people who are most likely to have difficulties in making the
transition. Contact is usually made through the School’s
Careers/MIPs Teacher.
